2022 Ford SuperDuty Inventory - Koons Falls Church Ford

The Ford SuperDuty is a tried-and-true heavy-duty truck lineup that offers up three different model options and three engine options. Regardless of the model selected, drivers can look forward to a power and work-ready vehicle that's capable of handling serious hauling and towing needs. The new Ford SuperDuty also gets a few changes for the latest model year, including a new optional 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a few new package options. What hasn't changed is the reliable capability that the Ford SuperDuty is known for.

Drivers can expect one of three engines under the hood of the new Ford SuperDuty. There's a 6.2-liter V8, a 7.3-liter V8, and a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8. The base 6.2-liter V8 engine manages 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque while working with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The base 6.2-liter V8 engine also can be had in either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. If you're interested in more power than the base engine has, then opting for the upper two engines is always an option. The 7.3-liter V8 engine makes 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque while working with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine also provides drivers with an option for rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The most powerful engine that comes with the Ford SuperDuty is the diesel, which touts 450 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. As with the 7.3-liter V8, the 6.7-liter diesel engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 6.7-liter diesel also offers up the option of rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. If you're looking to increase off-road performance, then there's a few packages to consider. The new Ford SuperDuty offers drivers the option between an FX4 Off-Road package and a Tremor off-road package, both of which boost off-road capability substantially.

You might not think that a heavy-duty truck like the SuperDuty comes with serious technology, but it does. The latest model of the SuperDuty actually improves tech options by making a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display an available upgrade. There's a range of technology features to enjoyed, as well. The base XL trim of the 2022 Ford SuperDuty is all-work focused, offering up a 4.2-inch infotainment display, an AM/FM radio, and in-vehicle Wi-Fi capability. Moving to the XLT trim ensures a more modern set of tech features. The XLT replaces the 4.2-inch infotainment display with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The XLT trim also adds in smartphone connectivity thanks to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto along with a navigation system, satellite radio, and a 110-volt outlet. The Lariat trim comes equipped with the new 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, and a Sync 4 infotainment display. The King Ranch trim level comes with the same set of features as the Lariat, with the exception of wireless charging. The Platinum and Limited trims include more or less the same set of features as the King Ranch, which is a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, satellite radio, a navigation system, and wireless charging.

New Ford Super Duty

Interior features are about as extensive as technology options, with each trim level coming a range of features. The XL trim of the Ford SuperDuty comes with vinyl-trimmed seats and air conditioning. Admittedly, the XL trim isn't for everyone, due to its barebones nature. If you're looking for a bit more comfort, you can always opt for a higher trim level. The XLT trim makes some quality-of-life improvements, adding in cloth-trimmed seats. The Lariat trim makes some major changes for interior features, adding in leather-trimmed seats, power adjustable front seats, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The King Ranch trim level adds in a variety of near-luxury offerings, like a leather-clad interior, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and wood interior trim. The Platinum trim features its own version of near-luxury, offering drivers massaging front seats, a dual-pane moonroof, dark ash wood trim, and extended leather upholstery. The Limited trim features an equally impressive array of interior features, ranging from unique leather upholstery to various heated seats.

The Ford SuperDuty makes safety a priority by offering up a mix of driver assistance features and classic safety equipment. Driver assistance features vary by trim, with higher trims including more driver assistance features. The Ford SuperDuty XL comes with SOS post crash alert and on/off headlights. The XLT trim includes the same set but adds forward collision avoidance and blind spot monitoring. Stepping to the Lariat trim adds in rear parking sensors while the Platinum trim adds adaptive cruise control. Classic safety features include things like seat belts and air bags.

Trim Overview

The 2022 Ford SuperDuty is available in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The XL slots in as a rugged, no-nonsense heavy-duty truck while the XLT features a few more comfort and tech features to improve driving convenience. The Lariat makes a variety of interior updates, including heated seats and leather-trimmed seats. The King Ranch offers up a bold interior trim that's leather-focused while the Platinum trim manages to strike a balance between luxury and seriously capability. The top-notch Limited trim doesn't skimp in any realm, offering up all the tech, comfort, and power you could want from a heavy-duty truck.
