The Ford Ranger Will Be Back in 2019, and It Promises to be Better than Ever

While other carmakers were busy showing off new models and redesigned old cars at the North American International Auto Show this January in Detroit, Ford was reintroducing the U.S. to an old friend - the Ford Ranger pickup truck.

At Koons Falls Church Ford, we're looking forward to bringing the 2019 Ranger to the greater Washington, D.C. area, and offering our customers even more great Ford-tough pickup truck options.

The Ford Ranger is a familiar name to many American drivers, having made various appearances on the roads over the years, from around 1958 until 2012. Now, Ford has announced a U.S. comeback for 2019 for the popular truck. It will still have the Ford reliability and power drivers love, but will come with all the latest innovation and technology they want.

The 2019 Ford Ranger will be available in two cab styles - either a SuperCab or a SuperCrew. It will be available in three trim levels and will be powered by a 2.3-liter Ford EcoBoost engine and a ten-speed automatic transmission.

While we wait to learn more about the performance and utility of this truck, Ford has announced it will be available with some of the most advanced safety features around, including:

  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Blind spot monitor
  • Traffic-adapting cruise control
