2018 Ford F-Series Super Duty Continues to Pull Ahead in the Segment

You know the 2018 Ford F-150 for its four straight years of Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award fame. It has now even garnered high praise from the experts at Motor Trend. But did you know there's a new 2018 Ford F-Series Super Duty sibling appearing sometime this winter?

If one of our favorite "Built Ford Tough" heavy-duty pickups from 2017 is any indication, a new year of Ford F-250, F-350, and workhorse F-450 trucks offers plenty of promise, and the hallmark Ford high-strength steel box frame and military-grade, aluminum-alloy body are just the beginning of the whole package.

Sure, the new 2018 Super Duty showcases a newly upgraded 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 diesel powerhouse, offering 450 horsepower to top the class and the turning and pulling power of a whopping 935 pound-feet of torque. Plus, you can count on this puppy to remain designed and built by Ford alongside its paired transmission, delivering performance optimal for the chassis components and vehicle functions it's made for and dovetailing future refinements. That's a tried-and-true ability to lug up to 21,000 pounds on a conventional hitch as well as haul payloads up to 7,630 pounds.

But it's the new Ford F-450 4x2 Crew Cab pickup, available soon in trims from XL and XLT to top-of-the-line Lariat and Platinum, that's set to wow the segment. Step into the driver's seat, and you'll find at your disposal a max towing capability of 34,000 pounds when properly equipped for gooseneck towing. Ford even integrates mounts for the purpose to make quick work of loading up and hitting the road.

Keep an eye out for the new 2018 Ford Super Duty F-450 here at Koons Falls Church Ford. We know we're planning to do so. In the meantime, you're welcome to stop into our 1051 East Broad Street location here in Falls Church, VA for an anticipatory test drive in a model from our stellar lineup of new Ford light- and heavy-duty pickups.
